R.J. Harvey Jr. was an American college football running back who played for the University of Central Florida, having previously represented the University of Virginia. A native of Orlando, Florida, he attended Edgewater High School in his hometown. Harvey committed to the Virginia Cavaliers football team in 2019. He was the third-string quarterback on the depth chart and redshirted that year, seeing no playing time. In 2020, he transferred to UCF and switched positions from quarterback to running back.

Harvey played at UCF through the end of the 2024 season, appearing in 41 games with 25 starts. He rushed 579 times for 3,792 yards (6.5 avg.) and 43 touchdowns. He also caught 61 passes for 720 yards and four receiving touchdowns. His college awards include Associated Press and Phil Steele Third-Team All-American (2024), First-Team All-Big 12 (2024), and Phil Steele First-Team All-Big 12 (2024), etc (via UCF Knights Athletics).
