Robert Quinn is a professional American Footballer who plays in the National Football League (NFL) as a defensive end and was selected by the St. Louis Rams with the 14th overall pick in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft.
He signed a deal of four years worth $9.43 million with the St. Louis Rams and in a game against the New York Giants, he made his NFL debut where in the following game he made two solo tackles and recorded his first career sack. In a game against the Seattle Seahawks, he made a season-high five solo tackles and participated in 16 games in his rookie season. In the 2012 season in a game against the Arizona Cardinals, he recorded six combined tackles and three sacks as the Rams won 17-3. In a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he passed Kevin Carter for the most sacks in a single season where in the following game he recorded three sacks and was ranked 13th by his team members on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2014.
In the 2014 season, he signed a deal for six more years with the Rams and ranked forty-fourth by his teammates at the NFL Top 100 Players of 2015. In the 2015 season, he participated in 8 games and in 2016 he was placed on the injury reserve list. In the 2018 season, the Rams traded Quinn to the Miami Dolphins where he started all sixteen games. In the 2019 season the Dolphins traded him to the Dallas Cowboys he changed his jersey number from 94 to 58 for the Cowboys. In a match against the New Orleans Saints, he sacked Teddy Bridgewater twice and in another match against the New York Jets, he sacked Sam Darnold two times.
In the 2020 season, Quinn signed a deal of 5 years worth $70 million with the Chicago Bears and in a game with the New York Giants, he made his team debut where in the following match he recorded his first sack with the group as Bears won 17-13. In the subsequent season, he recorded a career-high 3.5 sacks against the Baltimore Ravens and was named the Defensive Player of the Month. In the 2023 NFL draft, the Bears traded Quinn to the Philadelphia Eagles.
