Robert Saleh is an American football offensive consultant for the Green Bay Packers of the NFL as of October 2024. The Dearborn native graduated from Fordson High School in 1997 before committing to Northern Michigan University, where he played at tight end position. He also graduated with a degree in finance. He spent the next two decades coaching various positions with six colleges and NFL teams before finally getting the head coaching gig in New York. Saleh’s career as a coach began in 2002 when he served at Michigan State University as a defensive assistant. His coaching career in the NFL began in 2005 when the Houston Texans hired him as a coaching intern. In 2011, Saleh was hired by the Seattle Seahawks as their defensive quality control coach. He reached his first Super Bowl with the Seahawks in 2014, where the Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos. In 2013, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and served them for four years as their linebackers coach. In 2017, Saleh was hired by the San Francisco 49ers as their defensive coordinator. In 2021, Saleh joined the New York Jets and signed a five-year deal with them as their head coach. However, he was relieved from his duties by the Jets on 8th October 2024.
