Aaron Rodgers' future with the Green Bay Packers is still uncertain. The quarterback has been heavily linked with a move away from the franchise in the offseason, despite signing a three-year extension in 2022.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Rodgers is keeping only two options open if he leaves Green Bay. He will either join the New York Jets or draw curtains on his illustrious football career. Schefter said:
"My sense is there continues to be more and more signs about him leaving Green Bay. And I think in the end, my sense is ultimately it will come down to whether he wants to play elsewhere, which would be really the New York Jets, or whether he wants to retire."

Interestingly, the New York outfit are keen on signing a quarterback. Jets head coach Robert Saleh was frustrated with Zach Wilson's struggles last season and it appears that the 23-year-old won't be continuing with the team.
It will be intriguing to see whether the Jets take a gamble on Rodgers. The veteran knows how to lead a team to a Super Bowl, but his off-field antics may be a cause of concern for the franchise.
Rodgers was previously tipped to join the Las Vegas Raiders in the offseason. However, Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels wants a signal-caller who will stay with the team for a long time.
At 39, Rodgers doesn't fit the bill. Moreover, he could consider retiring from the league altogether if he decides to cut ties with the Packers.
Aaron Rodgers' stats from 2022 NFL season
Aaron Rodgers didn't have the best of seasons with the Green Bay Packers in 2022. The quarterback threw for a rather underwhelming 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
He also added 94 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground. The 39-year-old led the Packers to a third-place finish in the NFC North with an 8-9 record. However, the franchise failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time in four seasons.
