Tom Brady's mega-million broadcasting deal with FOX drew a lot of headlines over the summer as the seven-time Super Bowl champion embarked on the biggest test of his post-football career. A $375 million deal with the network means that we will be seeing a lot of Brady over the next few years.

It appears another legendary NFL quarterback is set to follow in Brady's footsteps, though not at those numbers.

According to a report from Front Office Sports, Netflix is eyeing formers New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees, along with Scott Hanson, to lead its lineup for the NFL Christmas Day games. However, the caveat is you probably won't be able to see Brees in the broadcasting booth if you're Stateside.

The report said:

"Brees and Hanson are 'in conversations' to contribute to Netflix’s international coverage of the Chiefs vs. Steelers and Ravens vs. Texans games, sources tell Front Office Sports. Netflix will livestream the two NFL games to 282 million paid subscribers in more than 190 countries."

Brees had a crack at the broadcasting game in 2021 while calling NFL and College Football games. It didn't quite stick, even though ESPN did bring him back for Monday Night Countdown during the Miami Dolphins' 23-15 win over LA Rams in November.

Drew Brees confident he can make a comeback in broadcasting

In an interview with the Front Office Sports, Brees confirmed that he would like to see himself back in the booth:

“I think I could be the absolute best at it, if given the opportunity. I valued my time at NBC so much, for that year after I played, I spent most of that time in-studio on Sunday Night Football, having to work with some incredible people. … But I didn’t really get the chance to broadcast NFL games."

Brees added that he is "most qualified" for the job and is still passionate about the game. The Saints legend added that he still has a lot to offer in the broadcasting booth given his knowledge base from years of torturing defenses in the NFL.
