Russell Wilson's injury was a major storyline in the weeks leading up to NFL kickoff weekend. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see Wilson make his regular-season debut in Steelers colors when Pittsburgh kicked off their season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.
Instead, Justin Fields lined up under center and while the former Bears quarterback didn't exactly impress (he was 17 of 23 for 156 yards and had 57 rushing yards on 14 attempts) the Steelers held on to pull off an 18-10 win in Atlanta.

Tomlin added that Wilson's health was the primary factor in making that decision and said that it "makes sense" to prepare Justin Fields and eliminate speculation about the position.
"Speculation is a waste of time. Russell's hurt," Tomlin said.
Wilson is not scheduled to fully participate in practice on Wednesday.
What happened to Russell Wilson?
Wilson picked up a calf injury in training camp and also reported calf tightness during a practice session leading up to Week 1 prep.
Per ESPN, Wilson will meet with team doctors after Wednesday's practice session to further evaluate his injury status for the coming week of NFL action.
However, Tomlin did add that Wilson was feeling better than he did over the weekend.
"I know that we're going to take the same approach that we take with a lot of people in terms of injury," Tomlin said. "We'll first start with his participation and his level of participation, his quality of participation. Over the course of the week, we will be analyzing whethere he's capable of protecting himself, whether he's capable of being productive."
