Russell Carrington Wilson is an American football quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers as of the 2024 NFL season. The Seattle Seahawks drafted him with the 75th overall pick in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. After spending 10 seasons with the Seahawks, he briefly played for the Denver Broncos (2022–2023) before joining the Steelers in 2024. In his first year in Pittsburgh, Wilson passed for 2482 yards and 16 touchdowns, as per Pro Football Reference. According to Spotrac, he signed a one-year contract worth $1.2 million with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024. Wilson is a Super Bowl XLVIII champion, a nine-time Pro Bowler, and the 2020 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year.

Wilson played college football at North Carolina State University and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He was named Big Ten Quarterback of the Year and First-Team All-Big Ten in 2011. In 2008, he earned ACC Rookie of the Year, ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year, and First-Team All-ACC honors. He was also named Second-Team All-ACC in 2010. Before college, Wilson played high school football at Collegiate School, where he was twice named the Richmond Times-Dispatch Player of the Year.
