American football running back Saquon Rasul Quevis Barkley plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, as of the 2024 NFL season. The New York Giants drafted him as the second overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Barkley started all 16 games in his rookie seasons recording 261 rushing attempts for 1,307 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2018, as per Pro Football Reference. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie team and earned his first Pro Bowl spot. Barkley was also named as the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. After six seasons and 64 appearances for the Giants, Barkley signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024.

Growing up in Pennsylvania, Barkley attended Whitehall High School. From his sophomore to senior year at Whitehall High School, Barkley ran for 3,646 yards and 63 touchdowns, including 1,856 yards and 31 touchdowns in his last season, as per Penn State's official website. Barkley committed to play collegiate football at Penn State after being regarded as a four-star prospect. During his three-year collegiate career, Barkley earned the Big Ten Most Valuable Player, Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, and Big Ten Running Back of the Year twice (2016,‘17), as per Penn State's official website.
