Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles took on one of the hardest challenges of their 2024 NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3). After escaping Week 14's duel with a 22-19 win against the Carolina Panthers, the Eagles host the Steelers to try to continue their good moment in the season and improve to 12-2.
The Steelers tried to do the same, as they continued their hunt for the Kansas City Chiefs, the No. 1 seed in the AFC after 15 weeks.

Jalen Hurts was more focused on feeding his receivers than trying to push the rushing game, which also limited Barkley's impact on the game.
That said, the former New York Giants running back still produced, touching the ball 19 times for 65 rushing yards. That's his second-lowest rushing total of the season, behind only his 47-yard game against the Cleveland Browns in October.
He was also active through the air, catching two passes for nine yards. However, he did not score a touchdown for the second straight game.
The Eagles had a strong start to the game, scoring 10 points in the first quarter and seven in the second, with AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith finding the end zone and connecting with Jalen Hurts after the former said passing was the biggest issue for the team.
They found the end zone with their rushing game, but Saquon Barkley wasn't the one breaking through the opposing defense. Instead, Jalen Hurts scored a one-yard rushing touchdown to extend the lead to 27-13 early in the fourth quarter.
After four consecutive games with over 100 rushing yards (146 against the Commanders, 255 against the Rams, 107 against the Ravens and 124 against the Panthers, respectively), Barkley racked up 65 rushing yards.
But his impact wasn't necessary for his team's success today, as the wide receivers took care of the Steelers, taking the Eagles to their 10th consecutive win.
The race for the No. 1 seed in the NFC is getting hotter after the Buffalo Bills defeated the Detroit Lions 48-42 to stay close to the Kansas City Chiefs and separate from the Steelers.
Philly's next three games will feature the rest of the NFC East division, meaning the Eagles may have an easy path to the top spot in the conference.
