Saquon Barkley stats today: How did the Eagles RB fare against Cowboys in Week 10? - Source: Imagn

Saquon Barkley had never won against the Cowboys coming into Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season but he had a chance to do so with the Eagles. Playing for Philadelphia is different from playing in New York and this time he he did secure the victory that he craved.

The running back has been a revelation since joining the Eagles after the Giants inexplicably failed to bring him back for the year. That has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Saquon Barkley as he is now on a team with a strong offensive line and a winning culture.

After the Commanders lost their game against the Steelers earlier in the day, Philadelphia went into Dallas sitting atop the NFC East. Saquon Barkley has had a lot to do with their strong performances this year and he had 925 rushing yards entering into this match. He carried on in the same form today and passed the 1000-yard mark against the Cowboys. Here is how his day went.

Saquon Barkley had a strong game today even without doing anything special. He kept getting the yards and putting the Eagles in front of the chains. The rest of the offense took over from there.

Jalen Hurts sneaked a couple of times to get into the endzone, one with a tush-push and one with a disguise after he faked a handoff to Barkley, and also threw for a couple more. The running back was a key part of all the offensive schemes and they could have had one more had the quarterback not been picked off in the endzone earlier.

Perhaps the most worrying moment in the game came when he was tackled once where he got his hand stuck under a defender. He sat out the next drive, which came just before halftime, much to the worry of Philadelphia fans. However, he came back firing in the second half anyhow.

However, the Eagles so comprehensively outplayed the Cowboys today that Barkley could get some rest before the game ended. With the score 34-6 to the visiting team going into the two-minute warning, the running back could be rested along with the other starters for a tough matchup against the Commanders next week. Had he kept playing, he might have reached 100 yards again but he is being saved for bigger challenges ahead.
