The Seattle Seahawks were bounced out of the 2023 NFL playoffs in the wild-card round, but the team performed significantly above expectations after they were written off as a lottery team at the beginning of the season.
The Seahawks arguably traded away the greatest player in their modern history, got better and earned a fifth overall draft pick. Rebuilds don't get better than that. So, now they can look forward to the 2023 regular season, with their opponents recently released.

A must-watch Seattle Seahawks game in the 2023 season
We are looking forward to the Seahawks' away matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, a team they beat twice this past season (albeit narrowly). The Seahawks have a long rivalry with the Rams, and it must have felt good to come out with the victories.
However, Rams fans claim that the only reason the Seahawks won was because the Rams had an array of injuries. Perhaps that won't be the case next season, as everyone will get a chance to recover from injuries.
Who is the Seattle Seahawks' most important player for the 2023 season?
The Seahawks will again rely on Geno Smith for the goods. The veteran quarterback came into his own in the 2022 regular season and made the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.
Smith put up career highs in all statistical categories for the season, leading the Seahawks to an unlikely playoff berth on the back of his awesome throwing and credible ball retention. He brought something different from his predecessor, Russell Wilson, to the table, and he looks like he's getting better by the day.
Smith is out of contract at the end of the season, but the West Virginia University alum has done enough to merit a contract extension. Truth be told, it's a good time to be a Seattle Seahawks fan.
