After going four seasons without a playoff win, the Seahawks decided that it was time for a new voice in the locker room. Seattle relieved their SB winning head coach Pete Carroll from his duties but kept him in the building as a team’s advisor. John Schneider after going through a long process, finally gave the team keys to Mike Macdonald.
Mike Macdonald has long been considered one of the best up-and-coming defensive minds in the game. He has previously served as defensive coordinator for both the Michigan Wolverines in college and the Baltimore Ravens. Those teams finished at the top in the defensive department under Mike’s tutelage. This guy gave a sneak peek to Seahawks fans on what to expect, when he shut down the high-powered 49ers offense last year.
The Seattle Seahawks schedule is the easiest out of all teams in the NFC West, tied with the Cardinals. They also play in a division where two teams are SB contenders, in Rams and the 49ers. Their best chance to reach the playoffs will come through a wildcard spot.

The Seattle Seahawks schedule revealed that they would face teams from NFC North and AFC East in the upcoming 2024-25 season. As the most plausible scenario for Seahawks to play in the postseason is to grab the wildcard spot, we will not discuss their divisional matchups below.
Week 7 - October 20, 2024 - Seattle Seahawks @ Atlanta Falcons
If the Falcons would be as good as advertised with their new QB Kirk Cousins, this game could have playoff implications when all is said and done. It is no secret that Falcons would be competing for the playoff spot in 2024 and if they don’t win the division then a wildcard spot is what they would target. This game could come in handy if there is a tiebreaker situation at the end of the season.
Week 15 - December 15, 2024 - Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers
The Lions are favorites to win the NFC North, so that naturally puts the Packers into a wildcard picture. There is more than a good chance that both teams would be fighting for the playoff spot this late in the season. A loss here for either team could basically mean an end to getting the top wildcard spot.
