The undisputed NFL GOAT for many, Tom Brady played in a record 10 Super Bowls during his illustrious career, but none may have been more emotional than Super Bowl LI. The reason was the presence of his ailing mother, who came all the way to see her son win. Brady was excited and emotional as it was her first appearance at her son’s game since she suffered from cancer.
As reported by the Washington Post in 2017, Tom Brady had dedicated the match to his mom—win or lose. So, when an emotional Brady was interviewed postgame by Westwood One’s Jim Gray, he said,
“She's my everything; I just love her so much.”

Tom Brady receives support from all women of his life
Galynn Brady, then 73, spoke to WBZ TV after the win. She was also overjoyed to witness her son’s fifth Super Bowl victory.

“I'm overwhelmed!" said Galynn Brady. "I was just praying. All I did was pray, the whole game, just pray.”
Galynn was struggling with an undisclosed cancer for the past 18 months while undergoing her treatment: chemotherapy and radiation, as team owner Robert Kraft commented.
Before the game began, Kraft had a little pep talk with his top star to motivate Brady.
“I spoke to him in the locker room before the game, and I said, ‘We’ve got to win this one for your mom,” Kraft told reporters after the game.
Brady had a lot of support at the stadium, not just from his and the Patriots’ fans but also from his family, including ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. It was a strong motivation for him to perform and he did just that with 43 of 62 complete passes, recording 466 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT.
Brady's Patriots came from 28-3 down to beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in overtime.
“My wife, my mom, my sisters, my daughter, my nieces—they're all here," he told Gray. "So it's just so special.”
Tom Brady Sr. is his son's hero
Brady’s father, Tom Brady Sr., was also excited by his son’s victory. When interviewed by Steve Burton of WBZ TV, he said,
“I'm just absolutely tickled pink for him and for the Patriots and for all of New England who supported him," said Tom Brady, Sr. "It's the best ever. I'm speechless... it was so spectacular, and so fun, and so nerve-wracking, and so awesome.”
Brady also shares a similar sentiment for his father, whom he regards as his hero.
