"She’s good at that type of stuff": When Patrick Mahomes praised wife Brittany for making their first baby shower extra special

Patrick Mahomes is a competitive lad who loves to be at the top of his game. His wife, Brittany, is a multi-talented person who is equally competitive too, trying to match her husband neck-to-neck at times. But there is one thing where she overtakes Patrick Mahomes completely, and the Kansas City Chiefs QB has acknowledged it too.

Back in October 2020, Mahomes and his then-girlfriend were expecting their first child. So, when Mahomes made an appearance on 610 Sports ‘The Drive’ in October 2020, the three-time Super Bowl MVP winner revealed his preparation for the day.

“We definitely wanted to involve the dogs; they’re such a big part of our lives, and so, I kind of gave it to Brittany, and she planned it all. She’s good at that type of stuff, and I kind of just showed up and was there for the dogs to roll out,” Mahomes said. “We had like eight different things that did the gender reveal.”

Mahomes stated that his pups, Silver and Steel, were an integral part of his family, and so they’d be present too for their special moment. In a video uploaded by the couple on their IG on Oct. 20, 2020, the pups were seen walking onto a white sheet with pink paint on their paws. Then a pink confetti was sprayed on, indicating that it was a girl. The caption confirmed the same.

“Baby Girl💕💕 P.s- Yes, my dogs walked down a runway with pink paws for the reveal. 🤩😍”

The couple also had another dilemma to resolve, which was to settle on a name, and they received some help from their fans as well.

“We bounced around some ideas here and there, but I don’t know if we’ve settled on one just yet, but when we do, I’ll make sure to let everyone know,” Mahomes said.

They finally settled on the name Sterling, and she is almost four years old now.

The Mahomes couple has now reached a similar situation in their lives again. Brittany recently gave birth to their third child on Jan. 12. While little Sterling couldn’t help much with the preparation for a gender reveal party, she tried her best with the name suggesting Elsa to her mother, Brittany.

“My daughter wants me to name her Elsa,” Brittany told Today.com.

But they settled for continuing their nomenclature method and named their newly born daughter Golden Raye Mahomes.
