Tom Brady's collection of luxury cars includes a Ferrari, an Aston Martin, a Bugatti, a Tesla Model S, and more, courtesy of his $300 million net worth (per Celebrity Net Worth). He loves luxury cars, often expressing his passion for them, and his collection serves as a testament to this interest. However, his journey didn’t begin with such extravagance.
In a June 2018 interview with Avril Graham for Town & Country at the Monaco Grand Prix, Brady’s presence—expected given his love for fast, luxurious cars—was in his role as an ambassador alongside Bella Hadid. During the interview, Graham delved into Brady’s passion for cars, revealing that his journey into car collection started with his family.
“It was an old ‘67 Dodge Dart. A very old car!” Tom Brady said laughingly. “My sister passed it down to me. She bought it for $1,000 and sold it to me for $500. I absolutely loved it. You know it was like a big boat. A boat on the road. But it was very safe—those old cars were made so well. They weren’t very sleek and they didn’t need to be fast.”
Earlier, Brady told Graham that he loved to drive fast when he was younger. But since he has become a parent, he prefers safety over thrill. So, with time, he started to appreciate the old models for their safety features while criticizing some of the modern ones.

“A lot of new hybrid cars now are super light and feel so light when you close the door in comparison. Not the thump of those old doors.”
Brady had revealed a similar story to Ford CEO Jim Farley during an interview for Spotify in 2022 about his $500 Dodge Dart. Speaking of its performance, he said,
“When the temperature dropped below 50 [degrees Fahrenheit, 10 Celsius], it was 50-50 if [the car] would start or not,” he further added, “I treated it like it was a Ferrari, because it was mine, and it was really the first time I had something like that.”
Tom Brady drove an 'ugly & bright' car to team facilities during rookie year
Tom Brady also didn't have the flashiest ride when he joined the Patriots as a rookie in 2000. As a gift for making the team, he was gifted a yellow Jeep Wrangler by a local car dealership. TE Chris Eitzmann, Brady's Pats teammate at the time, referred to the car as "ugly and bright," per SI.
Comedian Jeff Ross also took a dig at Brady on Netflix’s ‘Roast of Tom Brady’ show with a reference to his old car.
