As for Huntley's play, the ball was knocked out by Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson and recovered by defensive end Sam Hubbard. Hubbard ran it back 98 yards for a Bengals touchdown. Huntley's teammate, running back J.K. Dobbins, had another take on the play. Per ESPN, Dobbins commented that Huntley wouldn't have been in that predicament if he had been given the ball.

Dobbins said:

"[Huntley] should have never been in that situation. I don't get a single carry. I didn't get a single carry. He should never have been in that situation. I believe I would have put it in the end zone, again."

It's important to note that Dobbins wasn't on the field during that pivotal third-and-goal play from the Bengals' one-yard line. Following the drive that led to the fumble, the Ravens weren't the same team.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and Tyler Huntley on the costly fumble

Following the loss to the Bengals, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh explained the goal-line play call that led to Huntley's fumble.

Harbaugh said:

"We felt like we had a good call; it's a push-sneak play. It wasn't executed the right way. Tyler went over the top; that's a 'burrow' play. He has to go low on that. That's the way the play is designed."

Tyler Huntley commented on the play, noting that the alignment of the Bengals' defense made him jump over the top to try to score.

Huntley said:

"I saw everybody packed in, just tried to go over the top. I thought I cleared the line. They just made a play and just happened to take it all the way back."

Huntley added:

"At the time, I just felt like everybody was packed in, they shot for our linemen's legs, and the backers felt pretty good up at the line. I just tried to make a play."

Despite that play, Huntley had a solid game, throwing for 226 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. he also ran the ball for 46 yards. The Ravens quarterback will have the offseason to reflect on that game as Baltimore is out of the playoffs.
