Should you drop Calvin Ridley? Fantasy projection for Titans WR

This Tennessee Titans offense got a dramatic makeover in the NFL offseason. Out went Derrick Henry, arguably the league's most dominant running back on his day (just ask the Buffalo Bills). In came Tony Pollard to take his place. Ryan Tannehill lost his place as starting quarterback in favor of then-rookie Will Levis.

More importantly, head coach Mike Vrabel was shown the door with former Bengals OC Brian Callahan taking his place. Considering Callahan's work with Joe Burrow, this offense was expected to take a step up but after four weeks of football, we're yet to see Will Levis, Calvin Ridley or even DeAndre Hopkins make a statement on the field.

So where does Ridley's fantasy outlook stand heading into Week 5?

Should I drop Calvin Ridley?

Should we start in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers where Ridley had one catch for nine yards on three targets? Or in Week 4 where he had one catch for five yards on the same number of targets?

On the season, Ridley has a total of nine catches for 141 yards and a solitary touchdown that came against the New York Jets in Week 2. He still leads this Titans receiving corps in receiving yards but that says more about the state of this offense than Ridley.

Here's our main issue with this Titans offense. Will Levis hasn't looked all that capable. Nothing we've seen through four weeks of football has proven that the Titans have a reliable floor. Or a high ceiling. This offense is struggling at the moment and we're no closer to seeing them solve their issues.

Things would be different if we were talking about a premier WR1 but Ridley isn't quite in that bracket. Unless we see some volume in the weeks ahead, it's difficult to rely on Ridley for any points.

He's also on a bye so that makes this decision easier. At this point, you might as well pick Wan'Dale Robinson or Andrei Iosivas off the waiver wire. If you can swing a trade, that's even better but you're unlikely to get any value heading your way.
