Dalton Kincaid will have a pivotal role to play for the Bills as the 2024 season winds down, though one does not know if it will come in Week 14.
After all the talk prior to the season about how Buffalo will struggle to win their division amidst a Jets and Dolphins resurgence, Josh Allen has led his team comfortably to yet another AFC East title and a place in the postseason. That he has not missed Stefon Diggs is because other receivers, like the tight end, have stepped up.
That does not mean that the Bills do not have a lot to play for in their remaining games. They have a 10-2 record for the season, which is just one game behind the Chiefs. If they can take any advantage if Kansas City slips up, they can win the AFC top seed. Buffalo will then be guaranteed a bye in the Wild Card round and will have a home advantage through the conference knockout games.
This is why this is not the time to rest players, especially someone as crucial to the offense as Dalton Kincaid. However, injuries are a continuous reality for any NFL player and we explore whether fantasy football managers should consider him for Week 14 of the 2024 NFL season.

Should I drop Dalton Kincaid for Week 14 fantasy football?
The Bills play the Rams in their upcoming game and it should be a fascinating matchup. Even though Buffalo has a much better record, they will be wary of a Los Angeles team that is still fighting for the top spot in the NFC West.
The approach that Sean McDermott chooses in this game will be fascinating. The Rams are in the bottom half of the rankings in terms of total yards allowed. However, much of that is due to the 144.2 yards per game that they are leaking on the ground, which is among the five worst in the league at the moment.
Given the head coach has an elite dual-threat quarterback at his disposal along with a solid running back in James Cook, he might lean more on the run game than the passing game. That already should cool interest in Dalton Kincaid by fantasy football managers.
However, what exacerbates the situation is that he has been nursing a knee injury all week. Even though he did not miss practice, he was limited on all three days and is listed as questionable for the game. Given the Bills will do well to lean on their running game and his health issues, Dalton Kincaid is best dropped this week.
Dalton Kincaid's fantasy outlook for rest of 2024 season
This does not mean Dalton Kincaid will not be valuable in the coming weeks. In Week 15, Buffalo has a heavyweight matchup against Detroit. As good as the Lions have been, they are currently allowing 224.7 receiving yards per game while limiting rushes to less than 100 yards per match. It will be a matchup when short passes to tight ends might be valuable.
After that, the Bills play the Patriots twice and the Jets once, both of whom have losing records and might be rotating starters in preparation for next season. If Buffalo is still in contention for the top spot in the AFC then, Dalton Kincaid will be a valuable weapon.
The tight end has 356 yards in 34 catches, at an average of 10.5 yards per reception. In the past few weeks, though, Dawson Knox has outscored him in that position. Therefore, fantasy football managers should consider him for the rest of 2024 but check before each game whether his teammate might not be a better alternative on Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer Tool.
