David Njoku has been sorely missed by the Cleveland Browns. There has been no bigger disappointment in the 2024 season than Deshaun Watson's team, with a 1-4 start and plenty of fans and analysts asking for a quarterback change. But injuries aren't helping their cause as well.
In the Week 5 game against the Washington Commanders, Browns fans were finally able to see Njoku back on the field after he missed three weeks with an injury suffered in Week 1. But he registered just one reception for 14 yards, and it's time to ask whether he should be on a roster.
Should I drop David Njoku for Week 6 fantasy football?
This is still early to think about moving him from your roster, as he was questionable to play and not 100% healthy. In regular conditions, Njoku is a top 10 tight end in fantasy football, but it will take a few weeks for him to get there.

The Browns aren't playing that well at the moment, with nobody struggling more than quarterback Deshaun Watson. His play for the team has been a huge failure, and even with a guaranteed contract, it's more than likely he'll never get back to his Houston Texans days, making the trade a major loss for the franchise.
Njoku had three catches in the Cowboys game before the injury. Stash him on your bench if you will, but you should keep him on the fantasy football roster for the remainder of the season. If you drop him, he won't last an hour in the waivers.
David Njoku' fantasy outlook for the rest of 2024
His production should pick the pace up in the upcoming weeks, as he gets healthier and the Cleveland Browns start to use him more. Of course, if there's a quarterback change and Jameis Winston becomes the starter, it's even better for his fantasy owners.
While Week 5 wasn't promising by any means, keep David Njoku on the roster, because he could be a game-changer for you late in the year – especially in the playoffs. His talent alone is worth the risk.
