Mark Andrews has been one of the most disappointing overall players during the 2024 fantasy football season so far. He has a strong history of being an elite tight end option, but through his first three games this year, that has not been the case. He currently ranks as TE30 and many managers may understandably be debating whether or not to drop him from their rosters.
Should I drop Mark Andrews for Week 4 Fantasy Football?
Managers who selected Mark Andrews during their 2024 fantasy football drafts likely spent one of their first five picks to get him. This makes him difficult to drop from fantasy rosters after three weeks, but it is certainly an option after his disappointing start this year.

Any manager that has another solid tight end option on their roster would be justified in deciding to drop Andrews at this point. The Baltimore Ravens have featured rising star Isaiah Liklely as their pass catching tight end more so than their veteran this year. This suggests that the two of them may have changed roles this year, leaving Andrews as more of a blocker and depth option.
Managers with enough space on their bench would be wise to stash Andrews for a few more weeks and see if he can bounce back before outright dropping him. He finished among the top five fantasy football tight ends in each of his past five healthy seasons, so he still has a legitimate chance to get back on track.
For those with other solid tight ends, or those without space on their bench, it makes sense to move on from Andrews ahead of Week 4. He has just eight targets through three games, while Likely has been targeted 16 times.
Mark Andrews fantasy outlook for rest of 2024 season
The Baltimore Ravens have a new-look offense for the 2024 season with Derrick Henry joining Lamar Jackson in their dominant rushing attack. They have also featured Isaiah Likely as their preferred tight end to run passing routes, surpassing long-time elite option Mark Andrews. Likely has doubled Andrews' targets so far and currently ranks as the overall TE4 in fantasy football.
Playing on a team that utilizes a run-first offense significantly impacts the fantasy outlooks for their pass catchers. The fact that Andrews appears to have been surpassed by Likely in the target hierarchy further hurts his fantasy value. The veteran returning to his usual ranking of a top-five fantasy tight end appears to be a long shot after recording just six receptions for 65 yards through three games.
