Mark Andrews has been one of the best overall fantasy football tight ends during his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens so far. He has ranked among the top 12 tight ends in each of his six seasons, with four of them being among the top five.
This year has been a much different story as he shockingly ranks as just the TE31 through his first five games.
Managers who selected Andrews in their fantasy drafts this year likely did so within the first five rounds, so he has been one of the biggests busts of the 2024 season so far. In fact, he has become an outright drop candidate from fantasy rosters ahead of Week 6.
Should I drop Mark Andrews for Week 6 fantasy football?

Mark Andrews entered the 2024 fantasy football season with massively high expectations of being one of the best overall tight ends, as he has been for his entire career so far. Not only does he rank outside of the top 30 tight ends this year, but he has already had two games where he was held without a single reception.
The Ravens appear to have transitioned to Isaiah Likely as their preferred pass-catching tight end, leaving Andrews as more of a blocker in many of their offensive schemes. He has only exceeded 65% of the offensive snaps once this year and has totaled just 14 passing targets through his first five games.
With Likely emerging as an elite weapon for Lamar Jackson, a sudden increase to Andrews' role as a receiver is hard to imagine at this point.
It may be tough to do so, considering how high was drafted this season, but it makes sense at this point to drop Andrews from fantasy rosters and replace him with another player with more season-long upside.
Mark Andrews fantasy outlook for rest of 2024 season
Mark Andrews has been nothing short of a disaster for fantasy managers that invested a premium pick to get him in their drafts this year. He has totaled just 10 receptions on 14 targets for 120 yards and has been held without a touchdown across his first five games of the season.
For comparison, Isaiah Likely currently ranks as the overall TE4 in his breakout season this year with 16 receptions on 21 targets for 180 yards and three touchdowns.
He appears to have surpassed Andrews as the leading tight end for the Ravens, who already play in a run-first offense anyway. Andrews' fantasy outlook is not promising for the rest of the season.
