Mike Williams was traded from the New York Jets to the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of the 2024 trade deadline. Williams is already preparing for the Week 10 matchup of the 2024 NFL season against the up-and-coming Washington Commanders led by rookie sensation Jayden Daniels.

Fans and fantasy managers are wondering if he'll be on the field on Sunday and what impact his availability will have on his fantasy outlook. Check out what you need to know about Williams and his chances to play in Week 10.

Should I start Mike Williams for fantasy football Week 10?

Mike Williams could follow in the footsteps of wide receivers who got traded and played in the same week for their new teams. It happened with Amari Cooper, Davante Adams, and DeAndre Hopkins and the Steelers' approach to Williams' early practice sessions suggests that they are thinking of including him in the offense as much and as fast as possible.

Williams explained that he was included in the first team for some rep with Russell Wilson, per reporter Nick Farabaugh. They're trying to teach him the formations and spots he can get as fast as possible.

In the last five games, he's caught five passes for 46 yards on 11 targets. As the presumable WR2 in the receiver room, Williams should get more attention from Wilson. He and George Pickens are expected to lead this offense moving forward, as the Steelers will try to improve to 7-2 at Northwest Stadium.

Mike Williams fantasy outlook for Week 10

Williams is considered the WR75 in fantasy football in Sportskeeda's ranking for Week 10. He's projected to get 7.6 fantasy points out of 2.7 receptions and 37.8 receiving yards. The veteran's numbers should get higher after this week, even if he's just starting to learn the Steelers' playbook.

Mike Williams had a short-lived stint with the Aaron Rodgers-led Jets, but he revealed he enjoyed his time with the four-time NFL MVP.

“It was cool. Going there after the ACL not having OTAs or training camp to get the chemistry right… he’s real detailed. He likes what he likes. Me not being able to transition in as quick is probably what went wrong.”

Williams and Rodgers starred in controversy after the receiver ran an incorrect route, which led to an interception and the subsequent callout from Rodgers. He's now in a different situation, hoping to help the Steelers.
