Terry McLaurin and Washington Commanders know that, whatever happens from now until the end of the season, this is already a successful year. Finally free from Dan Snyder, the Commanders found a new franchise quarterback, a new coaching staff, and the vibes around the franchise are excellent.
Discovering Jayden Daniels' quality has been excellent for McLaurin. Since he arrived in the league as a third-round pick in the 2019 draft, he quickly emerged as the best wide receiver on the Commanders' roster, with four straight seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards.
However, until Daniels, he had not played with a good quarterback, which explains why he's having career highs in many statistics. With an upcoming game against the New Orleans Saints and with fantasy football playoffs starting, the decision on whether to start him or not could make or break your team.
Should you start Terry McLaurin for Week 15 fantasy football?
The Commanders, with an 8-5 record, are on the cusp of making their first playoff appearance in 2020. Daniels' high level as a passer has been the catalyst for this improvement, and the entire offense has benefited as a result.

After 13 games, McLaurin has 896 receiving yards and nine touchdowns (career high). But his averages have been the best of his career: 10.9 yards per target and 74.4% of catches are also career highs for the wide receiver, who has a favorable matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
You should absolutely start McLaurin in Week 15. The Saints' defense has allowed 3,202 passing yards this season, the fifth-worst mark in the league. In general, they also allow 5.9 yards per play, the second-worst mark in the NFL.
The team has suffered from injuries throughout the season, and their best defender, cornerback Marshon Lattimore, was traded in early November to the same Commanders.
Terry McLaurin fantasy outlook for rest of 2024 season
With four games remaining, three of the Commanders' matchups will be against defenses that are in the top 10 of most passing yards allowed in the league. The wide receiver already has five games with over 100 receiving yards, and those games could be another opportunity.
The only tough game will be against the Philadelphia Eagles, who have one of the league's best defenses and, when these two teams met in November, limited the receiver to just one catch for 10 yards throughout the whole game. In this case, Terry McLaurin's volume will be tougher to come.
