Week 2 of the 2024 fantasy football season will feature a Sunday Night Football matchup between the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears. Both teams feature a ton of relevant options for fantasy lineups, as well as some injury situations to be aware of. Here are the best players to target this week and which others should be faded.

The Chicago Bears were one of the most interesting teams to keep an eye on during Week 1 of the 2024 fantasy football season. They brought in highly-anticipated rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and surrounded him with offensive weapons during the NFL offseason.

Their newly designed offense was a bit disappointing in their first game of the season, mostly due to Williams struggling in his debut. This is not uncommon for rookie quarterbacks, so he still has a good chance of bouncing back in Week 2. While he should probably be avoided in traditional season-long leagues, he is a strong pick in 2-QB leagues, Superflex formats, and DFS.

His top wide receiver, D.J. Moore, is an attractive option in all formats, especially considering the injury situations on the Bears. Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze were both injured last week and could be in danger of missing time. This gives Moore an opportunity at an increased workload and improved fantasy football outlook.

The Houston Texans also added offensive weapons during the offseason, specifically Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon. They were both impressive in their debuts, with Mixon finishing as the RB2 and Diggs turning in a WR10 finish. Tank Dell was surprisingly the wide receiver most impacted by the arrival of Stefon Diggs, as he recorded just three receptions for the Texans last week. This situation will be important to keep an eye on as the target hierarchy becomes more clear over the next several weeks. While Dell was an exciting target prior to the start of the season, he is now more of a fade in Week 2 fantasy football lineups.

The tight ends on both teams probably took the biggest hits in the redesigned offenses in Chicago and Houston. Dalton Schultz finished as just the TE24 last week, while Cole Kmet turned in an extremely disappointing TE48 finish. They will be difficult to trust in Week 2 lineups, along with the following other players.
