Stephen Douglas McMichael is a former professional footballer and wrestler. He had a successful 15-year NFL career, largely with the Chicago Bears, where he was a two-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro. McMichael played college football for the Texas Longhorns and was chosen by the New England Patriots in 1980, but he hit his stride after joining the Bears in 1981. He helped the Bears win Super Bowl XX and led the club with 11.5 sacks in 1988.
He also had a significant effect in a 1991 game against the New York Jets, helping the team win in overtime. McMichael's playing career with the Bears ended with a stint with the Green Bay Packers in 1994, after which he moved on to professional wrestling with WCW, where he became a one-time WCW United States Champion and member of the Four Horsemen stable.
