The late Steve McNair played 13 years in the NFL after the Houston Oilers drafted him with the third pick in the 1995 draft. The quarterback was with the franchise for 11 years including the time it relocated to Nashville, Tennessee when the team was renamed the Tennessee Titans. He also had a two-year stint with the Baltimore Ravens before calling it quits after the 2007 season.

Before entering his rookie season, McNair signed a seven-year, $28.4 million deal with the Oilers in 1995. He then agreed to a six-year, $47 million extension with the renamed Titans in 2001.

McNair signed the biggest deal of his career in 2004 when he put pen to paper on a six-year, $112,250,010 with Tennessee. He got the blockbuster contract on the back of being named the NFL's co-Most Valuable Player in 2003.

The highlight of McNair's career was being named the MVP for the 2003 season. He led the league in passing yards but shared the MVP title with Peyton Manning.

McNair also earned three Pro Bowl honors and was named to the Second-Team All-Pro in 2003. The Titans retired McNair's No. 9 jersey in 2019, just over 10 years after his death.
