Tahj Washington is a wide receiver in gridiron football for the USC Trojans. He spent the last five years from 2019 playing collegiate football first at the University of Memphis and then at the University of Southern California. Washington was born on May 16, 2001, in the city of Marshall, Texas.

The highly skilled receiver is on the smaller side with a height of 5 ft 10 in and an approximate weight of 175 lb. Experts believe that his size may be a factor in many teams passing up on him even though his consistency as well as competitive nature are both positive aspects of his game.

Expected to be drafted on day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Texas native will mostly be used as a slot receiver. While he doesn’t have the speed to create too much separation, his willingness to get the ball usually helps him to win many contested battles. However, with his small size other downsides that affect his game are smaller arms, hands, and catch radius.

Washington eventually settled on playing at the University of Memphis on the Memphis Tigers football team. With limited time on the field as a freshman, Washington earned a redshirt season allowing him to prolong his eligibility.

In 2020, he played in 11 games out of which he started 10 of those. He finished his redshirt freshman year with 43 receptions for 743 yards and six touchdowns. Prior to the start of the 2021 season, he transferred to the University of South California to play for the USC Trojans football team where he would go on to play another three years.

In 2021, Washington played in 12 games in which he caught 54 passes for a total of 602 yards but had only one touchdown. Washington would remain quite consistent over the next couple of years with 50 and 59 receptions for 785 and 1,062 receiving yards respectively. He also added 14 receiving touchdowns in the final two years with 6 and 8 respectively.
