Taylor Decker is an American football offensive tackle for the Detroit Lions as of the 2024 NFL season. The Lions selected him with the 16th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft. That same year, he was signed to a fully guaranteed four-year $10.96 million contract (via Spotrac). By starting all the games that year, Decker was also named the Lions Rookie of the Year. In 2019, the Lions extended Decker’s contract for the fifth year. In 2020, Decker extended his contract for another four years with the Lions which was worth $60,000,000.
Originally Decker was admitted to the University of Notre Dame to play college football but decided to go to Ohio State University instead. During his time there, he won the CFP National Championship in 2014. He also earned Second-team All-Big Ten honors in 2014.
