The New Orleans Saints released another lengthy injury report Monday ahead of their Thursday night game against the Denver Broncos. The update included good news, with tight end Taysom Hill returning to practice.
The Saints have a short week because they play the Broncos on Thursday after their game on Sunday. Owing to this, they only had a walkthrough on Monday, so the injury report they released to start the week was an estimate rather than an accurate update on participation.
Irrespective of that, Hill's estimation of limited practice is a positive development as he continues to heal from a rib fracture and a bruised lung that have kept him out since Week 4.

Prior to yesterday, Hill had not participated in any of the team's practice sessions in the last two weeks and missed the last two games.
Saints wide receivers Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) began the week with expected DNP statuses on the injury report. Olave's chances of making it out of the concussion protocol and suiting up on Thursday against the Broncos are slim.
After playing with hip and hand problems last week, running back Alvin Kamara (hand) was also classified as limited on Monday's projected injury report.
The Saints TE has already suffered multiple injuries this season
Taysom Hill appeared to have suffered a chest injury during the New Orleans Saints' emphatic 44-19 Week 2 victory over the Dallas Cowboys last month. After that game, he was immediately transported to the hospital, but he didn't stay there for long; after being checked out and cleared, he returned home.
Saints coach Dennis Allen added that Hill's hospital visit following that injury was merely a precaution. However, the veteran tight end was unable to suit up for the team's next game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Taysom Hill returned for the Saints in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons. However, he sustained yet another injury that day. He went to the locker room before the end of the second quarter in that game and was instantly ruled out with a rib injury.
Allen said after the Week 4 contest that Hill's injury was to his ribs, on the other side from where he had a bruised lung two weeks prior.
The Saints coach didn't give a direct answer when asked how long Hill's rib injury would take to fully recover, but the TE has already missed the team's last two games: Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs and Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Hill is now nearing a return after he was limited in Monday's practice. The tight end has Tuesday and Wednesday to return to full practice participation ahead of the Saints' Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos on Thursday night.
