#5 San Francisco 49ers - 7 Super Bowl Appearances

Many supporters believed the San Francisco 49ers possessed what it took to win the entire playoffs after they startled the Dallas Cowboys on Super Wild Card Weekend. But they ultimately lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.

The 49ers are accustomed to competing for the Super Bowl. In the following years, San Francisco made seven Super Bowl outings: 2019, 2012, 1994, 1989, 1988, 1984 and 1981.

The 49ers fell to the Kansas City Chiefs 31-20 in their most recent Super Bowl appearance for the 2019–20 campaign, but they've won five championships overall.

#4 Denver Broncos - 8 Super Bowl Appearances

One of the best teams in the league, the Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl in 1997, 1998 and 2015.

In the 2015-16 season, the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10 to clinch the Super Bowl for the third time and made their last postseason trip. The team is yet to make the postseason since then.

The Broncos have lost more Super Bowls than they have won. They have appeared in an incredible eight Super Bowls but have lost five of them.

#3 Dallas Cowboys - 8 Super Bowl Appearances

Unquestionably among the most legendary NFL franchises and one of the most prolific Super Bowl champions is the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys have triumphed in five of their eight Super Bowl appearances.

The Cowboys won the Super Bowl in 1972, 1978, 1993, 1994 and 1996. In their last Super Bowl win, Dallas defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-10.

However, for over 20 years, the Cowboys haven't participated in a Super Bowl.

#2 Pittsburgh Steelers - 8 Super Bowl Appearances

The Pittsburgh Steelers participated in eight Super Bowls and took home six championships, winning four in six years. The Steelers won the Super Bowl in 1975, 1976, 1979, 1980, 2006 and 2009.

The Steelers haven't won a Super Bowl in more than ten years. When Terry Bradshaw was the team's signal-caller in the 1970s, the Steelers won four of their six Super Bowls.

The Super Bowl XLIII in 2009 marked the last time the Pittsburgh Steelers clinched the title. In the contest, they played the Arizona Cardinals. It finished 27–23.

The New England Patriots have had the most wins in the NFL Super Bowl since winning their first championship in 2002. They share the highest number of Super Bowl victories with the Pittsburgh Steelers (six). The Patriots' eleventh Super Bowl trip in history occurred in 2019, when they last won the championship.

The Patriots won six Super Bowl titles: Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX, XLIX, LI and LIII. They also tasted defeat in Super Bowls XX, XXXI, XLII, XLVI and LII.
