In 2018, quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a knee injury while playing against the divisional rival, Chicago Bears. Despite the injury, he stayed in the game and led the Green Bay Packers to a win.
Afterward, Rodgers spoke to then-NBC sideline reporter Michele Tafoya and appeared to be giddy. Fans flocked to social media and speculated that Rodgers may have taken painkillers to get through the game. A few days later, he debunked that theory while speaking with reporters. He said that he doesn't believe in taking painkillers and that adrenaline was the reason for his happy attitude.
"Aaron Rodgers called his injury a “sprained knee.” He said he didn’t take any pain medications on Sunday night because he doesn’t like them. “There was a lot of adrenaline,” he said, “and (it’s) pretty sore the last three days.” He said he feels “a little better every day.” He said he did not practice at all today and stayed at the stadium for treatment," ESPN's Rob Demovsky reported.

The then-Green Bay Packers QB then said that his knee was still sore and that he wasn't taking any medication for it but, rather just doing some physical therapy treatment.
