Former Green Bay Packers legend Aaron Rodgers had a lot going on in his life after winning his third NFL MVP in 2021. He finally got engaged to his girlfriend, Shailene Woodley, and later appeared at Lambeau Field for practice. His arrival gave closure to a prolonged drama around his stay with the Packers but also gave birth to a new paparazzi.
Rodgers appeared casually dressed up in a t-shirt with an illustration of Kevin Malone from "The Office." The shirt brought attention after a photo of Rodgers walking in the NBA Jam-styled t-shirt with his sunglasses on was posted on X (formerly Twitter).
When Kevin Clark of "The Ringer" interviewed Rodgers about the photo in August 2021, Rodgers looked excited and narrated the story behind his outfit choice.
“Zero thought beyond that,” Rodgers said. “It was 4 a.m. California time, and there was not a lot of brain function going on for me.”

Rodgers was jet-lagged after his flight from California, and the t-shirt was the first thing he saw in front of him.
“This is going to be awesome,” he thought.
The sunglasses were taken from his former teammate AJ Hawk, and it was a throwback to WWE legend Macho Man Randy Savage.
The shirt, on the other hand, has a lot of easter eggs for Rodgers, as he made a cameo on "The Office" in 2013. The picture on the front features Malone’s famous chili scene from episode 98 of the show.
In the scene, Malone appeared with a huge chili pot for his co-workers at Dunder Mifflin. But unfortunately, he dropped it and later tried to scoop it back in using blinders. Interestingly, actor Brian Baumgartner, who played Malone, is good friends with Rodgers.
Aaron Rodgers follows pop culture movies and shows
If anyone knows Aaron Rodgers well, this wouldn’t be surprising, given his love for pop culture shows and movies. In an interview with Kevin Clark in 2019, he revealed his favorite moments from the popular show "Game of Thrones."
He also knows a lot about Quentin Tarantino’s 2015 mystery film, "The Hateful Eight." Growing up, Rodgers was also a "Star Wars" fan, and he has a collection of the show's t-shirts. He is also a fan of the famous character James Bond.
