Tom Brady

Tom Brady, born on August 3, 1977, in San Mateo, California has come to be known as the GOAT of the NFL today. Being good at running and a wizard at staying in the pocket for pass plays, Brady generates fear in his opponents every time he gets the ball in his hands. Brady was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft following an unimpressive draft combine. He spent his rookie season on the sidelines learning and gaining experience from the Patriot’s starting quarterback back. Brady went on to become an elite passer, one who could break down the opponent’s defense and throw the most awe-inspiring passes using his skill with his arm and amazing IQ.

Brady went on to win seven Super Bowl titles and five Super Bowl MVPs; the most by any player in the history of the NFL. He is a 3-time NFL MVP, 5-time AFC offensive player of the year and 2-time NFL offensive player of the year. What is astonishing about Brady is his seemingly never-ending longevity. Brady played for 23 seasons in the NFL at a high level. Testament to this is the fact that he was named to two NFL All-Decade teams. Having played 20 seasons for the New England Patriots, Brady completed his career with a 3-year stint at Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He retired after the 2022-23 season but has etched his name as the NFL’s greatest player for decades now.

Brady was able to stand strong against these younger quarterbacks as no amount of talent and athleticism proved to be a match for Brady’s technically developed skill and IQ. However, towards the end of the season, the Buccaneers crashed out of the running at the Super Bowl championship.

Brady is now retired but is widely considered to be the greatest player to have ever touched a football in the NFL.
