Tony Pollard injury update: Latest on Titans RB for Fantasy Football Week 16

The Tennessee Titans' second practice report was released on Thursday ahead of their Week 16 game against the Indianapolis Colts. Seven players — including running back Tony Pollard, who is battling an ankle ailment — did not practice.

The 27-year-old was first designated with an ankle issue on Tennessee's injury report ahead of the Week 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Even though the injury prevented him from practicing, he played on Sunday and recorded 17 carries for 45 yards and a touchdown.

Pollard has been absent from practice twice this week, so if last week's trend is any indication, he will probably miss practice again on Friday but still be able to play on Sunday against the Colts.

Additionally, it's noteworthy that Pollard doesn't necessarily need to practice during the week before he plays. Despite managing foot and ankle issues that have prevented him from practicing much in the last few weeks, he has been involved in every game this season and has had at least nine touches in each of those games.

In any case, fantasy football players will need to keep an eye on the running back's condition before Sunday's game against Indianapolis. Second-year running back Tyjae Spears will shoulder the workload if Pollard is ultimately unable to play.
