Tony Romo is an American sportscaster and former football participant who performed In the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons. He got selected by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted rookie in the NFL 2003 draft and he played as a quarterback for the group.

He was not selected by any team in the NFL 2003 draft but luckily he got selected by the Dallas head coach Sean Payton. In a game in opposition to the Oakland Raiders, he helped his team get the win. Romo performed excellently within the 2005 and 2006 pre-seasons and began the season as a backup. In passing yards and touchdown passes he was ranked seventh in the NFC in the 2006 season. Cowboys defeated the New York Giants at the beginning of the 2007 season and Romo was given the NFC Offensive player of the match. Romo then signed a deal of six years with the Cowboys of worth $67.5 million.

Romo continued his brilliant performance year after year and he extended his contract 6 more years with the Cowboys of worth $108 million and made many records. In an opening game against New York Giants, he leads his team to victory. He also underwent many surgeries during the season and missed the first 10 games.

Tony Romo announced his retirement from the NFL and was released by the Cowboys on April 4, 2017. After his retirement, he joined Dallas Mavericks final domestic recreation and sat on a bench wearing complete uniform but he did not play the sport and become not an legitimate member of the team.

He played college football at Eastern Illinois University before coming into the NFL.
