#1 Dan Marino

Dan Marino is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. However, the Miami Dolphins legend does not own a Super Bowl ring. Marino earned numerous records during his playing days but failed to lay his hands on the Lombardi Trophy.

His only chance came in 1985, when the Dolphins were defeated by the San Francisco 49ers.

#2 Fran Tarkenton

Fran Tarkenton's NFL career spanned 18 seasons, from 1961 to 1978. Despite his longevity, the former Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants player was not lucky enough to win a Super Bowl ring.

Known for his scrambling skills and ability to extend plays, Tarkenton led his teams to the Super Bowl on three occasions, but he was never able to win any of them.

#3 Warren Moon

Moon was known as one of the most prolific passers in the NFL. During his NFL career, he played for a number of teams, including the Minnesota Vikings and the Seattle Seahawks.

Despite his impressive career statistics, Moon does not own a Super Bowl ring. He did not even get the chance to play in a Super Bowl. However, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

#4 Dan Fouts

Dan Fouts played his entire NFL career with the San Diego Chargers, from 1973 to 1987. Drafted from the Oregon Ducks football program, Fouts led the NFL in passing yards four times and was a six-time Pro Bowler.

He was instrumental in guiding the Chargers to the playoffs four times. However, he was never able to make it to the Super Bowl on any of those occasions.

#5 Jim Kelly

Kelly was arguably the unluckiest signal caller in NFL history. He is known as the greatest quarterback to ever play for the Buffalo Bills, but was unable to win a Super Bowl with the team.

Kelly was an outstanding quarterback who led the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances from 1991 to 1994, but the team failed to win any of those.
