Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are getting ready for Saturday's divisional round matchup against the Houston Texans.

Kelce and some of his teammates have not played in the last two weeks since claiming the top seed in the AFC. This season, the veteran tight end has recorded 97 catches for 823 yards and three touchdowns, earning him a spot in the Pro Bowl for the 10th consecutive year.

Kansas City will take advantage of its almost three-week rest to get ready for another postseason run, possibly their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance. However, they need to beat the Texans, who reached the divisional round following a 32-12 victory over the LA Chargers.

Let's examine his previous performances against the Texans.

Travis Kelce's record against the Houston Texans

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce has a 5-2 regular season record against the Houston Texans. He has also faced the Texans two times in the postseason, owning a 7-2 overall record against them.

In the seven regular season matchups, Kelce has caught 44 passes for 481 yards and three touchdowns, according to StatMuse. He is averaging 6.3 receptions from 7.6 targets, 68.7 receiving yards and 0.4 receiving TDs.

However, Kelce has played better against Houston in the playoffs. In 2015, Kelce tallied eight catches for 128 yards in a 30-0 victory over — his first-ever NFL playoff game.

His next postseason matchup against the Texans was in the divisional round of the 2019 season. Kelce recorded 10 receptions for 134 yards and three TDs, all in the second quarter, helping the Chiefs win 51-31. That win allowed them to advance to the next round and ultimately won the Super Bowl when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers.

The Texans were the conference's weakest division winner heading into the playoffs after finishing with a 10-7 record. Kelce will be looking to continue his perfect playoff record against them when they clash at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday.
