Tremaine Edmunds, the Chicago Bears' linebacker, was born on May 2, 1998. Edmunds went to Dan River High School in Virginia and played as a tight end and defensive end too. He was nominated for Virginia's Defensive Player of the Year for 123 tackles, four sacks and two interceptions, among other stats. After which, in 2015, the three-star recruit opted for the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. During his college career, he was named second-team All-ACC in 2016 and first-team All-ACC in 2017, and was also the Butkus Award finalist in the same year. Further, he had a total of one interception, 10 sacks and 213 tackles by 2017.

The Buffalo Bills chose Edmunds at the 2018 NFL Draft as the overall #16 pick, after he decided to forego his senior year. He signed a four-deal, with his career high of playing and starting 16 games, along with 49 assist tackles. This contract was extended for one more year, and in 2023, he was signed by the Chicago Bears for four years, worth $72 million. Overall, he had played and started 89 games, for a total of 677 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 42 pass deflections, and nine interceptions for 88 yards as of the 2023 season.
