San Francisco 49ers' star left tackle Trent Williams is dealing with an ankle injury heading into week 7. The reigning NFC West champions are set to face the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football but could be without some of their key players.
After missing three games last season, Williams has been fairly healthy this season, but this ankle injury could jeopardize his playing status. Apart from him, Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel are other key players who were on the injury report.
Will Trent Williams play tonight vs Vikings?
As per the latest update, Trent Williams will not feature tonight against the Vikings. The San Francisco 49ers don't want to rush back their star tackle this week and are willing to allow him more time to get healthy.

As for Christian McCaffrey, the running back is healthy and will be playing tonight. Unfortunately, Deebo Samuel will also miss this game, and the 49ers will be left short-handed against a Vikings team, who is also missing Justin Jefferson.
Brock Purdy and the 49ers need to bounce back
The 49ers suffered a shocking loss to the Cleveland Browns last week and faced a lot of criticism. Quarterback Brock Purdy finally lost a regular-season game, and he needs to lead his team back to winning ways.
The Vikings haven't played well so far this season, and the 49ers could very easily win this game if they don't commit turnovers. Purdy's name was brought up in MVP discussions last week, but with the loss to the Browns, people have stopped hyping him.
The 49ers quarterback has thrown for 1,396 yards, 10 touchdowns, and one interception in six games this season with a passer rating of 111.9. It will be interesting to see how he fares without Trent Williams and Deebo Samuel tonight.
