Trevor Lawrence injury update: Should fantasy managers be concerned about Jaguars QB for Fantasy Football Week 10

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence appeared on the team's injury report with a left shoulder injury on Wednesday. The fourth-year quarterback participated in a limited capacity in the team's Wednesday practice to begin the week.

Head coach Doug Pederson claims that Lawrence is battling an issue with his upper body. Additionally, Pederson informed reporters that it is still too soon to determine if the quarterback would participate in Sunday's Jaguars game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Lawrence told reporters that he is still experiencing soreness as of Wednesday and that he is struggling with a shoulder ailment.

"That's the goal (to play in Week 10). I'm doing everything I can to be out there," Lawrence said.

This year, Lawrence has started nine games and completed 61 percent of his passes for 2,004 yards, 11 scores, and six interceptions. Trevor Lawrence must stay fit for the Jags to have a successful end to the regular season following a 2–7 start.

After agreeing to a huge five-year, $275 million deal extension in the offseason, Lawrence has seen a few bumps in the road this season. However, the Jaguars will probably need him to perform in their next three games against the Vikings, Detroit Lions, and Houston Texans in order to remain competitive.

Trevor Lawrence took two sacks and some significant hits in the Jacksonville Jaguars' Week 9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Although he was clearly not suffering from any obvious injuries at the time of the game, those hits may have contributed to the soreness he reported he was feeling on Wednesday.

Lawrence completed 16 of his 31 throws for 169 yards, threw two interceptions, and ran for two touchdowns at the end of the game.

Due to his limited participation in Wednesday's practice and head coach Doug Pederson's acknowledgment that the quarterback is uncertain to start against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10, fantasy managers should keep an eye on Lawrence's status till the end of the week.

Lawrence has only missed one game because of an injury in his four years in the NFL. He missed Week 16 of the 2023 season because of a shoulder ailment.

In the wake of Lawrence's injury, the Jaguars signed quarterback C.J. Beathard on Wednesday. The 30-year-old quarterback was signed by the team off the Miami Dolphins' practice roster.
