With the first overall pick, the Jaguars drafted Lawrence in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft. Lawrence was second in rookie throwing yards (3,641) behind Mac Jones and recorded a league-high 17 interceptions. By the end of 2022, Lawrence has amassed 4,113 throwing yards, 25 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Since David Garrard in 2009, he was the first Jacksonville quarterback to be chosen as an alternate for the 2023 Pro Bowl.
