Troy Aikman, a former finals MVP and a 3-time Super Bowl winner, is a commentator who works for ESPN currently. Troy was drafted to the Dallas Cowboys and had a successful 12 year tenure with the team. He played two of the three times the Dallas Cowboys were in the Super Bowl. He was elected six times into the pro bowl.

The drought before the Dallas Cowboys three straight championships was quite long. Troy, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, Tommie Agee, were some of the most important pieces to the three chips that the Dallas Cowboys won in the 90’s. He had some stellar performances which led to Troy being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008.

Troy Aikman’s parents are Charlyn Aikman and Kenneth Aikman. Troy does not talk much about his father much, the reason being that Kenneth (his father) has always been very tough on him. On the other hand, Charlyn Aikman recently passed away. Charlyn was born in Long Beach, California to Mark and Thomasin Bailey. She was a shy person who loved her family and was always helping her children flourish into different parts of the world. The couple had separated back in 2000.

Kenneth Aikman, Troy’s father, was a tough man. He was a welder and construction foreman. After years and years of being on the job, Kenneth had purchased a 172- acre farm. He is a rigid tough man because there have been reports about Kenneth once cutting the tip of his finger off while working but still did not stop working. Troy has always appreciated his father’s resilient work ethic but Troy said his life back home was “rarely pleasant” for him.
