Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard have a great legacy to try and follow up on with the Tennessee Titans. Both are succeeding Derrick Henry, who has left to take his power-running talents to Lamar Jackson's Baltimore Ravens.
Right now, the latter appears to be the favorite to start, being a former Pro Bowler and a twice-thousand-yard rusher. But is that notion more concrete than it appears? Or should fantasy footballers go with the unconventional?

Tyjae Spears was rather limited on the ground as a rookie, rushing only 100 times for 453 yards and two touchdowns. Of course, Derrick Henry's presence meant that he was not going to get that many opportunities to carry the ball.
However, his aerial numbers are a different story. He caught the ball 52 times for 385 yards and a score – proving that he could complement the multiple-time rushing champion as an agile change-of-pace back with the capacity to operate out of the slot when necessary.
Is Tony Pollard a good fantasy pick in Week 1?
When Tony Pollard signed a three-year contract to be a Titan, everyone expected him to become a starter automatically.
In his first in-game action in the light blue, against the San Francisco 49ers in preseason, he rushed four times for 35 yards – not exactly a dominating performance. Spears rushed only twice for three, but one was a touchdown.
After sitting out against the Seattle Seahawks, Pollard returned in the preseason finale against the New Orleans Saints and rushed five times for 17 yards with a touchdown – a glimmer of hope for Titans fans that he will continue his Pro Bowl form from when he was a Dallas Cowboy.
Tyjae Spears or Tony Pollard: Whom should I draft in Fantasy Football Week 1?
In perhaps one of the biggest upsets ever predicted on Sportskeeda's fantasy football tool, Tyjae Spears handily defeats Tony Pollard:
While he is outrushed, the sophomore manages to wrest control in the receiving department with 550.5 yards in the air out of 74.4 catches – significant statistics for a running back – one that may even help him get a surprise starting role on the field when the Titans take on Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday.
