Tyler Boyd and Garrett Wilson fantasy outlook for Week 12

Tyler Boyd and Garrett Wilson are the wide receivers for the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets, respectively. Boyd has been competing in the NFL for the last six years, while Wilson is playing his rookie season. Both wide receivers are doing well for their teams this campaign.

The New York Jets are having a strong season and earned a big 20-17 victory against the Buffalo Bills in their Week 9 game. Wilson led the team in receiving yards and caught eight receptions from nine targets in 92 yards. In Week 11, the Jets once again faced the Patriots, with whom they had already lost a game in the eighth week.

Last week's game result was worse for the Jets as they lost 3-10 against the Patriots, slipping to the last position in the AFC East. Wilson had two receptions on three targets for 12 yards.

After two consecutive wins, the Bengals are ready for their matchup against the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. In the last two games, Boyd has seven receptions on 13 targets for 86 yards. His production seems to have dipped in recent games, which may have fantasy owners concerned.

Both the Bengals and the Jets have a 6-4 record but are placed second and third respectively in their division. Both players look healthy and will play in Week 12. Who will you start with? Tyler Boyd or Garrett Wilson? We would suggest that you start with Garrett Wilson in the upcoming week. Here's why:

Why Garrett Wilson is a better fantasy pick in Week 12 than Tyler Boyd

Wilson has started six of the ten games and has played two 100+ yard games this season. He has excellent chemistry with Zach Wilson, and in the last three weeks, the two have hooked up 16 catches on 19 targets for 219 yards.

While Zach Wilson has been benched for Week 12, Garrett Wilson still seems to have a higher upside than Boyd, who just isn't seeing the same volume since Ja'Marr Chase got injured.

Garrett Wilson has earned 65.8 fantasy points so far in ten games and is more consistent in scoring points than Boyd. Wilson looks promising and is looking to make another big play as the Jets face the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The Bears seem to be struggling this season and the Jets have a good shot at winning this game.

The Jets are facing comparatively weaker opponents when compared to the Bengals. Wilson will have an advantage there. We are expecting a 100+ yard game from Wilson once again, and if he scores a touchdown, his fantasy score could shoot up to 20 or more.

In the Week 11 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Boyd had a catch percentage of 28.6%, his lowest this season. The Bengals will face the Titans (7-3), who sit at the top of the AFC South. Boyd might have a big game against the Titans, but that seems less likely than Wilson this week.
