Tyler Davis is an American football defensive end for the Los Angeles Rams in the 2024 NFL season. The Rams selected Davis as the 196th pick in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The same year, he signed a four-year rookie contract with the team valued at $4.2 million, as per Spotrac.

Davis was born on November 1, 2000, in Apopka, Florida. Davis joined Wekvia High School in Apopka, Florida, and played on the school’s football team. Davis completed his senior year of high school with 34 tackles, out of which 14 were for a loss of yards. He also added 6 sacks and an interception in 2018. He enrolled at Clemson University in 2019, despite having offers from other top universities such as Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, and others, as per Clemson's official website.

Davis attended Clemson University, where he played college football for Clemson Tigers from 2019 to 2023. According to Clemson's official website, Davis became the first defensive lineman in Clemson’s history to start 13 games as a true freshman. His 5.5 sacks were the most in the country in 2019 as a freshman interior lineman. Additionally, he dominated with 9 tackles for loss and 51 tackles overall with two pass breakups and a fumble recovery, earning Second-team All-ACC honors.

2020 was the COVID-19 pandemic year which limited the number of games to only seven. However, a significant drop in his production meant that he managed only 13 tackles of which 5 were for a loss, and 2 sacks. In 2021, he earned First-Team All-ACC honors for the first time despite having injury problems. Out of 23 total tackles, only 2.5 were for a loss while he finished the year with 2.5 sacks and one fumble recovery.

The final two seasons at Clemson were much better overall. In 2022, Davis was named a permanent captain of the team and he also earned his second First-Team All-ACC honors. He repeated both achievements in 2023 and became the first defensive player in Clemson’s history to earn a four-time All-ACC selection, as per Clemson Tigers' official wesbite.
