The Seattle Seahawks are struggling with multiple injuries as they prepare for Week 2, one of which is troubling Tyler Lockett. Despite dealing with thigh troubles for several weeks, the veteran wide receiver was able to play in the first week of the 2024 season against the Denver Broncos.

Lockett has appeared on the Seahawks' injury report this week again with a thigh injury ahead of the team's Week 2 game against the New England Patriots. The 10th-year wideout was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

Lockett did not participate in any preseason games for the Seahawks, and his snap total was considerably less last weekend than it typically is. Therefore, Lockett's limited practice participation this week means the team is managing his injury.

It makes sense for the Seahawks to lighten the wide receiver's practice load to save him for games, especially when you consider the fact that Lockett will clock 32 later this month.

Lockett re-signed with the Seahawks this offseason on a reworked two-year, $30 million ($34 million max) contract, indicating that the team intends to continue using him in their offensive scheme.

Tyler Lockett injury update: What happened to the Seahawks' WR?

Tyler Lockett has been limited in Seattle Seahawks practices over the past few weeks due to a leg ailment. Lockett said it was a precautionary move.

Head coach Mike Macdonald said that Lockett "has a little something going on in his leg right now, but he's good" during joint practices with the Tennessee Titans in mid-August.

Along with DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Jake Bobo, Lockett is currently a member of one of the finest wide receiver groups in the league.

Tyler Lockett was important for the Seahawks in Week 1

Tyler Lockett was a little unhappy with the way training camp went for him, according to Mike Macdonald. Despite being unable to play in preseason due to a leg injury, Lockett, 31, was more than prepared to play in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos.

QB Geno Smith's favorite target in Week 1 turned out to be Lockett, who caught six passes on seven targets for 77 yards. He also recorded an incredible one-handed catch to convert a third down late in the game, which helped the Seahawks record a 26-20 win against the Denver Broncos.

Lockett only practiced in a limited capacity on Thursday, but he is expected to play on Sunday against the New England Patriots.
