Tyson Bagent's exceptional displays at Shepherd University earned him an invite to the 2023 NFL combine. The quarterback will now be hoping to hear his name called during the NFL draft.
Bagent has more odds to battle than most in this year's draft class. No Division II quarterback has been drafted since 1999.
However, he could yet become the first Shepherd Rams player to get drafted into the NFL since 1960. This is simply because his stats aren't like many other ordinary quarterbacks in the division.
While many have ruled out the possibility of Bagent getting drafted this year, we project him to get selected as a seventh-round pick.

A few NFL teams are still uncertain about the quarterbacks at their respective teams. Meanwhile, other franchises are looking at backup options as well.
This gives Bagent an outside opportunity to get selected in this year's NFL draft.
