Winning the waiver wire is one of the most important factors during each fantasy football season. It will be as crucial as ever in Week 14 with the fantasy playoffs right around the corner. Here are some of the best running backs to target this week to give managers as strong of a roster as possible.
Week 14 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire RBs
#1 - Rico Dowdle
Rico Dowdle is surprisingly available on the waiver wire in more than 30% of fantasy leagues entering Week 14. Managers in any of those leagues should add him immediately.

He has finished among the top 10 weekly running backs three times in his past seven games for the Dallas Cowboys. He also has an extremely favorable schedule down the stretch, including matchups against the Bengals and Panthers.
#2 - Isaac Guerendo
Isaac Guerendo will be one of the most popular running backs on the Week 14 waiver wire. The San Francisco 49ers have placed Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason on the IR this week, so the rookie is expected to be their starter for at least the next four weeks. This makes him an ideal target in one of the best rushing offenses in the NFL.
#3 - Jonathon Brooks
Jonathon Brooks has played in the last two games for the Carolina Panthers after missing the beginning of his rookie season. He was drafted in the second round, so the franchise clearly has high expectations for him. He received nine touches last week after just two in his first game, so his increasing workload makes him an interesting add.
#4 - Kimani Vidal
Kimani Vidal failed to capitalize on an increased role for the Los Angeles Chargers last week with J.K. Dobbins landing on the IR, but neither did Gus Edwards or Hassan Haskins.
Vidal still has the most dynamic versatility of the trio and offers the most upside, so if he receives more opportunities, he could be a sleeper running back for the fantasy playoffs.
#5 - Jaylen Warren
Jaylen Warren received only seven touches last week for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but prior to that, he had totaled 43 touches across his past three games. He is still available on the waiver wire in nearly 40% of fantasy leagues and has more upside than most other options. He finished as the overall RB25 last year and has proven highly effective with a large enough workload.
