Winning the waiver wire is absolutely crucial when looking for sustained success in fantasy football. Here are some of the best running backs to target this week that could give managers a boost in their playoffs.

#1 - Tank Bigsby

Tank Bigsby appears to have secured the featured running back role for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He totaled 18 carries for 55 yards and a touchdown last week, compared to Travis Etienne recording just four carries for 20 yards. Despite playing in a weak offense, Bigsby could see a large enough workload down the stretch to provide solid fantasy value.

#2 - Patrick Taylor

Patrick Taylor may have an opportunity to take over as the starting running back for the San Francisco 49ers as their injuries at the position continue to accumulate. Christian McCaffrey, Elijah Mitchell and Jordan Mason are already on the IR, and now Isaac Guerendo is questionable with a foot injury.

All of them have provided useful results in fantasy football playing in this favorable offensive system, so Taylor would be a priority waiver wire add if Guerendo is ruled out.

#3 - Jaleel McLaughlin

Jaleel McLaughlin has been the most efficient of the Denver Broncos committee of running backs this year. He has exceeded six yards per carry in three of his past four games and was the featured back for their offense in his most recent game.

He responded with an RB27 weekly finish, so he makes for a solid speculative add from the Week 15 waiver wire who could take a massive step forward with an increased workload.

#4 - Sincere McCormick

Sincere McCormick has taken over as the Las Vegas Raiders starting running back with Alexander Mattison and Zamir White both injured. The rookie has impressed by totaling 27 carries for 142 yards across his past two games.

He should be added off the waiver wire this week as he can be expected to be featured down the stretch, especially with the Raiders already officially eliminated from the playoff race.

#5 - Kimani Vidal

Kimani Vidal set a season-high by playing in 53% of the offensive snaps for the LA Chargers. This suggests that the rookie could be gaining momentum to serve as their featured back, especially with Gus Edwards and Hassan Haskins being unimpressive. He offers them the most upside with his dynamic skillset as a replacement for the injured JK Dobbins going forward.
