Jordan Mims and Craig Reynolds are two names that were not on anyone's fantasy football wishlist going into Week 1, but times have changed. At this point in the year, most waiver wire pools are exhausted as most talents worth having have already been plucked.

Still, those looking for a last-second addition for championship week don't have much time this week as football games are slated to take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday before the typical NFL Sunday.

First and foremost, don't get caught sleeping on your lineups. That said, here's a look at three running backs worth pursuing this week.

#1 - Jordan Mims, New Orleans Saints

Depth charts around the country such as ESPN and others were blown up by Monday Night Football's performance against the Green Bay Packers. Kendre Miller was expected to be the Alvin Kamara stand-in, but Jordan Mims instead soaked up the majority of the carries in the shutout.

Assuming Kamara misses another game, Mims appears to be the guy the team will turn toward. Mims received nine total targets in the shutout. If the Saints muster anything at all next week with a running back, it likely will be Mims.

#2 - Craig Reynolds, Detroit Lions

David Montogomery is out for the foreseeable future and as such, the Lions have to pivot. They could dump extra carries on Jahmyr Gibbs, but that increases his injury risk. At least for one more game, the team likely will aim to split the carries with Reynolds and Gibbs. Managers can get ahead on the action now or wonder what could have been following Week 17.

#3 - Ray Davis, Buffalo Bills

James Cook is healthy and owns the Bills backfield. However, Ray Davis has seen some pop this season. He has earned 9.9 points or better twice in the last four weeks.

This season, he also has earned more than 16 points twice in ESPN leagues. It is far from a guarantee for Davis, but he might be the best free option for managers in what is usually the final week of the fantasy football season.
